On March 19th, we set out on a long trip from San Francisco to Israel (via Toronto) for Tamir and Noga’s wedding. Waiting for us on the other side of the planet was a great country and the entire family. Our first day (which was actually 2 days) started at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) where we headed to Toronto (YYZ) and ended up at Ben Gurion International (TLV) – 20 hours of travel.
For our long flights, we bought Ethan a chair so he enjoyed all the great amenties from his car seat including interactive entertainment system and his own meals (which were eaten by others)
While waiting for our flight in Toronto, Ethan settled into his Pajamas and then took a stroll to see the airplane and to introduce himself to all the passengers he was planning to keep awake with his screaming and crying (thankfully, he is so cute).
After 20 hours of travel, we arrived in Israel, where we were the slowest and last people off the plane.
Probably because we don’t travel light these days. Three big suitcases, two carry-ons, a diaper bag, stroller, car seat and cute little baby.
Ethan couldn’t be happier to be out of the airplane.
As day turned into night, our long day ended with dinner in Tel Aviv right by the hotel where we were joined by Grandma and Tom, who had arrived the previous day. Jet lag was starting to set in.
Coming up: Day 2 in Tel Aviv.
