Ethan’s birthday party was scheduled as a fun outdoor event at the newly renovated Sunnyside Playground where the kids can run around while adults enjoyed BBQ. With ominous clouds looming, we made a last second decision and moved the party to the house, only to have a beautiful sunny day. In the end, it worked out as the house and the backyard accommodated all of us and the kids still found room to play.
The cake was actually made up of individual cupcakes
Including one for the birthday boy
Lunch was BBQ, ordered from Baby Blues BBQ in the Mission, featuring chicken, brisket, cole slaw and potato salad.
With the adults watching over them, the kids quickly settled in Ethan’s play area.
As the weather cleared, the party moved to the backyard where Grandma and Daniel teased Ethan with bubbles
Don’t worry, Mo didn’t punch Ethan, he simply grabbed his face and tugged on it (he was probably still upset about losing their last battle)
Uncle Roy flew in for the party
And Lindsay enjoyed mingling with friends:
Despite all the people, noise and kisses, the the birthday boy remained cool and calm.
More to come.
