This past weekend we drove to Yosemite National Park to introduce Ethan (and his Daddy) to the splendors of this magical place. Lauren and Trond, were kind enough to join us and show us around (they’ve been there before).
As the title suggests, Ethan (seen here as Pumpkin Dome), had his first chance to gaze at the famed Half Dome:
On our first day, we decided to walk a paved trail to the Upper and Lower Falls. We placed Ethan in a new backpack that allows him to see the world.
Why is Lindsay making a face?
Because Ethan didn’t stop screaming.
Really.
Lauren and Trond, as always, were very patient with us. I’m sure Trond wanted to trek 17 miles uphill but instead had to suffer as it took us 30 minutes to walk several hundred feet along a paved walkway. Such is life with a baby.
We stopped by the Ansel Adams Gallery to admire the work of the great photographer.
By Sunday, Ethan was in a better mood and enjoyed the scenery.
Not sure he enjoyed that hat, though.
Part 2 coming soon…
