The eastern span of the San Francisco Bay Bridge is being replaced as part of a seismic retrofit project. The 1937 span did not hold well in the 1989 earthquake and it will be 24 years when they finally open its replacement. This past summer, we had the opportunity to tour the bridge construction site on a special “Artist Tour”. Below are photos of us on the bridge.
